Sometimes you will need to download file without an extension or to make it on your Mac iOS. Mac by default add some extension on files like that so you might be confused. Here I will explain a little trick how you can delete or remove an extension from file. There are several ways to do that and this is maybe not common way but it works.

Open FileZilla and find your folder where file is in FileZilla.

Right-click on file and click edit. If there is no program associated with file, choose Default editor for text files.

When it’s opened, on top go to File – Rename.

Delete dot and extension, click enter and go to Save.

Check with refreshing folder in FileZilla to be sure if extension is really deleted.
